Hitchhiker Goes 2000 Miles And He's 87!

In the quiet town of Clinton, Utah, a quiet elderly man named Andrew Hentz, who is 87-years-old, decided to hitchhike....to Pennsylvania.

His daughter reported him missing on Monday around 2 PM. He was found in Pennsylvania just two days later. As bizarre as the fact is that he hitchhiked, it's not quite as bizarre as the fact that he has a son in Pennsylvania. And he ended up on the street outside of his sons house.

He was found on the street by local policemen who took him into the hospital in Hershey, PA, where he was released with no injuries.

Lets run just a few numbers here:

-Hentz is 87
-Leaves at 2:00 P.M. MDT on July 9. (That's 4:00 PA time)
-Arrives at Midnight PA time on July 11.
-Traveled approximately 2,047 miles (assuming there were no detours)
-This is about 32 hours driving time in less than 48 hours.
-This would be covering 8 states, going straight through the quickest route.

Wow.
