Mainly because this is a real photo (the animal was featured on the cover of the New York Times, and the Today Show) ...

It seems that a rare genetic mutation can turn your run-of-the mill fido into an unforgiving, 27-kilogram rippling brute of muscle.

Whats weird is that this same disorder has also once been reported in a human? Crazy!

All Hail The Creepy OctoSquid! [PIC]

Apparently more than just hair and gunk can get sucked up in a drainage pipe these days.

According to the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii, this little guy was sucked up one of their deep-sea water pipelines last week - (which are used to suck up cold, deep-sea water for all of the fish/slimy stuff living @ the natural energy lab).

Its always weird to see what new species the ocean will kick up next

50% octopus + 50 % squid = 100% creepy
